The Bug Factory Mealworm Growing Pods were designed by Thomas Constant and Clayton Payne primarily motivated by the sustainability of Insect Based Protein. A great way to reduce food waste and provide a continuous supply of nutritious pet and animal feed. They set about designing escape proof pods with odour filters that not only progresses the recycling/reuse mantra by using 100% recycled plastic from fridges and freezers to manufacture in the UK, but also looks great, works well and can get the whole family involved and more knowledgeable about the benefits of insects. Mealworm frass is a wonderful fertiliser which can be used on house plants or in the garden, the remaining waste can be composted. A small and perfectly designed circular economy!
